Staying at Ho Chi Mihn city with limited days, but the sight of Mui Ne promotions is calling me and read it is about 190km away. Is it possible to take a day-trip there? I've one whole day to give. What is the best way to get there and what is recommended to do there too? Appreciate your input.

No. You won't have sufficient time to enjoy mui ne, cut your time in Saigon it's not worth staying long. 3 months ago

I liked HCMC a lot. I spent 5 days is HCMC and 2 days in Mui Ne. It's a nice, small city, so you won't need much time there, but the jeeps to the sand dunes leave in the morning, and your bus from HCMC won't arrive till well in the afternoon. 3 months ago

Totally possible! You can take an early bus and arrive by late morning, spend the day in the dunes and around town, then take a midnight bus back to Saigon. It's a full day but definitely worth seeing! Book with one of the many travel companies around Saigon, just don't get swindled into paying for a private vehicle and tour. 3 months ago

It's possible. However you must depart from HCM in the late night, then get to Mui Ne in early morning. I think you'd better visit the sand dunes in early morning when the temperature is not too high and too hot. No one comes there after 9 AM.
You may spend around 2 hours there, visit nearby beaches and back to HCM in the evening! 3 months ago
