Hi ,we're going to visit Vietnam, but it is happening next week for 2 weeks. Unfortunately didn't have enough time to prepare everything well in advance. Could you please advise us re vaccinations from Australia ,safety of drinking water. Is it safe to be there now(weather wise).Or any other tips & suggestions would be very welcome. Thank you

We visited Vietnam last year and found all were safe, we even tried street food. Traffic is crowed with moto bikes but easy to take public transportation. No matter with drinking water, you can buy bottle of mineral water, no need vaccinations unless your doctor's advice. Should bargain when you buy at market or street vendor - in shop price is fixed over 1 year ago

I find that Vietnam is quite safe to travel around; public transport is convenient and local people are friendly. In general, you don't worry so much. I think you will have interesting experience when coming to this country. over 1 year ago

Actually, you can buy water and foods at the supermarket which is pretty safe. You can use bus to transfer but almost bus drivers can not speak English, so you should ask receptionist in hotel to write where you want to go in the paper and give for driver. over 1 year ago
