For made-in-Vietnam clothes, you may refer to some shops in Dinh Liet and Ba Trieu street. There is one in Dien Bien Phu street as well, called M2. They are selling branded clothes made in Vietnam, such as: Zara, Mango, Forever21, H&M. The quality is fairly good with reasonable prices. To find the Vietnamese brand with logos and fun things about Hanoi on them, you may find a shop in Hang Be and Ta Hien street, which is called Gingko. They sell T-shirts with fun facts & images about Hanoi and Vietnam.
Good luck! about 5 years ago
The main shop Irecommend is: Bambou Silk, 8 Nha Chung. It's in the Old Quarter, near the cathedral. Another shop he got a good suit from (also in the Old Quarter) was: Duc Minh24, Hang Da. Generally, I'd say a good ball park figure is $150USD for a men's suit, depending on fabric etc. 153 Ba Trieu, www.hanoi-fashion.com. It's a shop for the locals, not tourists, so again, the prices are more reasonable. about 5 years ago
