I really like Pho in Vietnam, especially in Hanoi. It is very easy to find a Pho shop in Hanoi, from luxurious restaurants to street vendors. This kind of dish is popular among people from the rich to the poor, from officers to collar workers, from top managers to porters on streets. People can eat Pho everywhere, at any time and at different price. If you ever want to try this dish, it is advised to try others made from the same kind of rice such as Phở cuốn” “Phở chiên” “Phở xào” “Phở chua ngọt”. They are all very special and worth-eating.

In Hanoi, you can enjoy Pho and other dishes with rice noodle in following address and locations:

Quan Ngon in Phan Boi Chau Street
Quan May in De La Thanh Street
Pho Thin in Lo Duc Street
Pho Phu Xuan in Hang Da Street
Pho Ga Nam Ngu in Nam Ngu Street
Pho Bac Nam in Hai Ba Trung Street
Ngu Xa street (near West Lake) with a lot of restaurants and shops serving dishes from rice noodle.
Besides Pho, chả cá (fried fish) in Hanoi is also high recommended. You can enjoy Chả cá in No.14 Chả Cá street, or at Anh Vu restaurant in Giang Vo Street.
Bún bò Huế (literally: Huế style beef rice vermicelli) is very well known in Hue. You can easy enjoy it in Hue.
Grilled cut-off beef (Saigon) in Saigon. In Ho Chi Minh City, there is a famous restaurant serving this dish. It is Chan May Restaurant located at No. 65 Nguyen Van Sang Str. (previously Bong Bach Tuyet Str.), Tan Son Nhi ward, Tan Phu District. You can phone for table reservation at 08 3812 1820 or email to botungxeo.chanmay@yahoo.com.
    And, many other delicious dishes.

For the 4 or 5 days we were in Hanoi this year, we ate pho almost every meal and every time it as on the street. There are so many street stalls to choose from, we just went to the ones that had many locals at it as we felt the food would be a little fresher. The street stalls are so cheap that we felt sinful going into a restaurant. over 7 years ago
