    It's a desert, which by definition means an area of little or no rainfall. It rains very, very rarely in the Sahara (which is an Arabic word meaning desert, so it's the Desert Desert, so dry they named it twice!).
    The highest peaks in the Sahara get a topping of snow about once every 7 years. over 6 years ago
