wow, where to start? there are so many things to see and do, it's best to first decide on a theme to help narrow things down. e.g. do you like food, sports, fashion, theater, music, parks, nightlife, tours, tourist attractions, history, museums? You could easily spend a week just exploring the Metropolitan Museum of Art. There are literally thousands of things to do in Manhattan alone and there are four other boroughs to explore after that.

If you've never been to NYC, you might want to start with tourist highlights such as the empire state building, the statue of liberty, central park, times square, etc...except for central park though, don't expect to meet many new yorkers with that itinerary. How much time do you have? over 6 years ago

Walking around NYC is amazing - seeing the street life, the architecture. I used to pick a couple of blocks and head to them and walk around until I had seen everything.

There are the usual tourist hot spots such as the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, Times Square, but there are also lovely areas just off the main streets which are worth walking around.

The parks are lovely, the museums amazing, NYC is a great city. over 6 years ago
