I highly recommend a Doors Off Helicopters on Maui, i recommend West Maui & Molokai flight with AlexAir.com Maui Helicopter Tours, this really puts you in the waterfall when you can taste and feel the waterfall mist in your face :), best thing to do on your first day to get a true aerial orientation of the Valley Isle of Maui... about 8 years ago

I should add that we have seen Iao needle, Maui tropical plantation and spent the day shopping in Lahaina on a previous cruise trip to the Hawaiian islands. We have decided on spending our full trip this time on Maui and are looking for additional activities that may require more time or that we may have missed due to the cruise time limit. about 8 years ago

You can try the ziplining companies - they are a really fun way to spend the day. Also if you can, do a Molokini snorkel trip. Try to go in the morning as the weather gets a bit rough in the afternoon and they have to divert elsewhere. You can start the trip from Lahaina or Kihei.
Dive to Makena/Big beach - it's on the south side of the island past Wailea.

Enjoy! MAui is such a great place! about 8 years ago

Definitely get a (convertible) car and drive the Road to Hana. There are many short but nice hikes, plus stopping at Coconut Glen's for ice cream is mandatory. almost 7 years ago
