When are you heading there? The farmers market by the university is amazing and open during the weekend. Food carts are open during the day, although there is a group of them that opens for late night food. If you're looking to check out what there is to eat, you can look at my blog post about my 48 hour trip to portland : http://mlle-mlle.blogspot.com/2011/10/sfo-pdx.html almost 7 years ago

There can be snow in Feb but it's a rarity. Forest park is hikeable that time of year. There a a number of cart pods around that remain open all year. Try the carts on SE 12th & Hawthorne. They are open till around 2 am most nights. As far as gardens, the Japanese garden & Chinese garden are open all year, and have nominal entry fees. If you can, go eat at le pigeon on SE Hawthorne. almost 7 years ago
