    Kickapoo outside of Champaign, IL is about 2.5-3hours from Chicago and is a gorgeous state park with a lot to offer if you like to camp/hike/canoe. over 6 years ago

    Door County WI is amazing - It might be longer then 3 hours to drive up there, but well worth a weekend there. You can also stop in Green Bay along the way! over 6 years ago

    The Quad Cities has more than gambling and golf depending on what you like to do, and I agree that whatever you do it will be cheaper than in Chicago. over 6 years ago
