    Head down to new haven. Check out Yale (tour offered from admissions), great local food options (pizza is a must - Bar pizza or Modern are non-touristy options, them go about 5 miles north to Sleeping Giant park and hike an easy jeep trail or a surprising blue blazed trail with sufficient scrambling. Louis Lunch downtown new haven claims the first hamburger and it is definitely an experience. . . over 6 years ago

    If you have an appreciation for Norman Rockwell, I would recommend Stockbridge and Lenox, MA. Very New England, very Americana, very beautiful. over 6 years ago
