Just make sure you're on the strip. There is a huge choice of great places to stay according to your budget. Luxor is fantastic if you don't want to spend too much - Bellagio is awesome if you don't mind paying for it. almost 7 years ago

I stayed at trump tower you can walk right out the door into a huge brand new mall which then takes you on to the strip. It's a great hotel, real quiet and fully no smoking! Also no casino, in my opinion best to enjoy a hotel without all the noise, people and hassle casinoes attract. Try an early morning flight to the grand canyon, awesome! Just walk the strip enjoying all the sights and sounds, Vegas is a great place to stay almost 7 years ago

We stayed at Polo Towers, directly behind Planet Hollywood. Fantastic location with no casino.

The hotels directly on the strip have huge casinos in them, and you have to walk through the casinos to get to the hotel sections. Sometimes your walking an extra 10 minutes, depending on the size of the casino! It's a huge inconvenience when you have been walking the strip all day and have to walk through casinos to get to your hotel. Every hotel is the same, some alot larger than the others. almost 7 years ago

The Monte Carlo is a mid-priced hotel located in the heart of the Strip. It's also connected by tram directly to the MGM CityCenter complex and the Cosmopolitan Resort, which are the newest hotels in Vegas.

If cost is no concern, either Bellagio or Wynn/Encore will you give an upscale Vegas visit and they are both in good locations on the Strip with wonderful restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. over 6 years ago

I'm also going in Nov and i'm staying at New York New York Hotel and Casino. Its the right mix of fun, quality, price and location (on the strip) for me. You might want to check it out. If youre on the strip keep in mind that you have access to all of the other hotels and their attractions/restaurants/bars/clubs too. Just pick a hotel that you like and can afford. over 6 years ago

The Venetian is my home away from home! Luxurious, exciting, comfortable, perfect! You never even have to leave the resort to venture if you do want to! It is also home of Canyon Ranch Spa. I have been staying here and using the same massuse for the last 8 hrs. It is also located at a great place on the strip, surrounding other great places to be. This past summer went to Mandalay Bay and hated every second of it, so I am coming back to the Venetian in a few weeks so it's like a homecoming. There are so many places inside to eat it is hard to choose where to go. Many shows to choose from as well and most importantly, the smokiness is not to bad compared to other places. Thus resort connects to the Palazzo which is it's sister place which is nice too!! Have fun over 6 years ago

I live in Las Vegas (well, Henderson, but you get the point) 15 minutes from the strip. If we want a getaway from the kids for a weekend or even a night away we stay at the Cosmopolitan. It is BY FAR the classiest, most fun, vibrant and energetic place in LV. The bars are amazing (Vesper Bar by the lobby mixes the best drinks) and the restaurants are superb. I have heard that the Marquee club rocks but my clubbing days are behind me. But to the rooms: a rarity in LV is the fact that they all have terraces, so you can enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail while gazing over the strip lounging on your recliner. The rooms are beautifully appointed - try and get the one bedroom terrace suite with the Bellagio Fountains view; you can soak in the Japanese tub with a glass of wine while watching the fountain display - awesome! Hope this helps and I think I'm going to book a weekend away! over 6 years ago

I can tell you where you should not stay. In order to save a few bucks i stayed at Excalibur. Major mistake! I would pick Mirage or New York New York over 6 years ago
