Wow, there are so many options in Seattle, it's hard to know where to start. Particularly because you didn't mention any particular type of cuisine, and didn't say what price range is "priced right." One "unique" place that's near Pike Place Market is the Pink Door. It's not easy to find, so go to the website and get directions. And try to sit out on the deck. There's a great new Italian place in the South Lake Union area -- a short walk from the downtown -- called Cuoco. It has fabulous, mouth-watering handmade pastas and excellent steaks. It's good for families or couples or anyone. There's a "unique" pizza place downtown called Serious Pie that's quite reasonable -- it's unique because they sell only gourmet pizzas with unusual gourmet cheeses and very unusual toppings. You can get small ones. My husband and I often order 3 different ones for the 2 of us. It's a tiny restaurant, very popular. If you want NW fare, try Lecosho, which is on the Harbor Steps. The ambience is easy going, the food is excellent and the prices are good almost 7 years ago
