    Try not to stay in Hollywood, it's seedy, but visit for a morning and check out the walk of fame and Grumans etc. If you can stay in Santa Monica you can catch buses everywhere, I loved Warner Bros but I'd skip Universal. Have fun! over 11 years ago

    Santa monica and Venice beach! Hire a bike and ride around Venice then grab a taco and margarita and enjoy the sunshine
    If your're interested in celebrities check out a tour less than a day will take you to santa monica, venice, rodeo drive to see hte hollywood sign and also the stars homes. Tours are everywhere!!!! Just check with your hotel and they should be able to arrange pickuph over 11 years ago

    All of the above are great ideas. Condsider too:

    a walkgn tour Echo park or Chinatown. http://www.lacityhistory.org
    if you like architecture check out http://www.laconservancy.org/ for events/ideas and neighborhoos to check out.

    If you like hiking, the loop of Runyon Canyon in the Hollywood Hills-you'll get great views of downtown LA and Hollywood sign, a great work out and be amongst the locals walking their dogs and being part of the scene. You may even see some 'stars'.

    Las Felices is a cool neighborhood as is Sunset Junction for a bar crawl.
