Looking for places to camp in the north Georgia (USA) mountains
I'm planning a fall trip to shoot photos of the foliage, waterfalls, mountains, etc. in the north Georgia mountains (USA). Can anyone suggest any good campgrounds, scenic spots & so forth?

you can go up to helen... theres some awesome waterfalls up there and the its an awesome experience... you can go to lula and go ziplining... they have camping in teepees and tons of trees... or you could go up to blairsville and go to brasstown bald, its the tallest mountain in georgia... over 9 years ago

I recommend Tallulah Gorge and Black Rock State parks. Both are very scenic with great ops for photos - especially if you can catch some kayakers on the river in the gorge. Both have great campsites as well. over 9 years ago

Blackrock state park had some storm damage from the spring so check with the rangers if you plan to camp. The Georgia state parks website has excellent info on all camping availability. Tallulah Gorge is wonderful and also Amicalola Falls and Cloudland Canyon. over 9 years ago
