    If you want to get away from the rest of the tourists - stay in Kihei. Great location on the southern side of the island, but everything is still really accessible. Kihei has it's own little beaches, lot's of great places to eat. Waliea is only 10 minutes drive, Lahaina (the tourist coast) is about a 45min drive around the coast.
    Don't miss Big Beach (Makena). Hire a car becaue thigns are quite far from each other. over 6 years ago

    True Maui is probably Hana. Not a ton to do there but very relaxing. Otherwise find a small town in the mountains. over 6 years ago

    We stayed in Ka'anapalli and thought that was a great location. We were close to everything we wanted to do... Old Lahaina Luau, snorkel Molokini, go deep sea fishing, and drive to Hana and the crater. over 6 years ago
