I'm in Berkeley for the weekend - what are some good bars to head to? Live music, good beers, outdoor garden, that sort of thing.

Jupiter on Shattuck. Really cool place. Plus, it's close to the BART station, so that's convenient. jupiterbeer.com over 11 years ago

Hey there! I know you'll be back, so here's my list aside from the wonderful Jupiter:
Triple Rock Brewery in downtown Berkeley
The Albatross on San Pablo at University (15 min walk from Bart)
Lanesplitters-great pizza and outdoor back area. San Pablo @ University
eVe on University & Milvia (near Bart). Bit more loungey style in the outdoor deck in the back
The Pub on Solano Avenue-North Berkeley. outdoor deck in front to see passers by on Solano. Not near Bart. Good beers and tobacco selection
    Raleigh's on Telegraph
The Missouri Lounge-San Pablo @ Parker. Down home not fancy locals place starting to get trendy with hipsters. Huge outdoor area
Downtown Oakland also has a slew of places...but you didn't ask about those! ;) over 9 years ago

In the Rockridge area, down the block from the BART station, Ben & Nick's has an amazing beer selection and is an extremely friendly place. All the locals love it. over 8 years ago

If you're into craft beer try either of the Trappist's locations. They have a little one called The Trappist Provisions on College between 63rd and Alcatraz. over 7 years ago
