Hi - Katrina from WorldNomads.com here - unfortunately, I can not help you find cheap car rental in New Jersey, but you should consider the insurance and liability implications when you hire a car anywhere in the world, but particularly in the USA.
Depending on your country of residence, Travel insurance does sometimes cover the Insurance Excess on rental vehicles. So if you're in an accident and you have to pay the first $x amount on the damage caused, your travel insurance might be able to help you cover some of these costs.
Best thing to do is read all of the fine print really carefully on your hire contract and your insurance policy.
Not all insurance policies cover the "gap"on care hire insurance, so if you've got specific questions about WorldNomads.com coverage, let our team know - http://worldnomads.com/members/memberscontactus.aspx

If you already have insurance (or professional memberships-union, AAA) check with the provider to see if they offer any discounts. My regular car insurance covered me no matter what car I was in-rental, taxi, even passenger in someone else's uninsured vehicle. about 9 years ago
Hi, I think it’s better to buy used car in place of hiring a car on rent. With same rental price you can get a used car at very cheap rate. Try some online used car shops, I am familiar with http://www.automotix.net/carshotline.html , here i bought used car at very cheap rates and they genuine one. over 7 years ago
