French Quarter is kind of an easy answer, but it's true. Take your time, walk around and see the shops, the street artists, and don't forget the iconic Cafe Du Monde coffee and beignets! over 6 years ago

There are some beautiful garden and home tours in the Garden District. There are also cemetery and vampire tours that include Anne Rice's house etc. The best thing about NOLA (New Orleans LA) is by far the food. Commander's Palace, Emeril's, Cafe duMonde, etc. There are lovely 100+ yr old buildings downtown to just walk along and admire. If it's too hot there's an underground air conditioned series of shops downtown. Go to the train stop by the Hyatt and the entrance is nearby. Eat some PoBoys and have beignets and chicory au lait. Let the good times roll! over 6 years ago

A place I never miss is the carousal bar in the Monte Leon Hotel on Royal Street! It can be a challenge to actually obtain a seat. But pop your head in anyway. over 6 years ago
