I live in NFW, so anywhere in the Fort Worth area would be preferable...however, I want to know where I can have the most authentic tacos, enchiladas, etc. Could be a taco stand or a 5-star restaurant.

We don't do much authentic Mexican in the Dallas area. It's mostly Tex-Mex. For just plain good Mexican food, try Anamia's [Southlake is the closest to you], Chuy's [go during the Green Chile Festival, Dallas location]. In McKinney, the best close-to-MX is Aparicio's in the McKinney square. They make their own tortillas, their own chips, etc. Everything is Americanized except areas of high Mexican population. over 10 years ago

Try Luna's Restaurante on Harry Hines corner Regal Row. Next to Luna's Tortilla Factory (www.lunastortillas.com). They're an 87 year-old family-owned business that just opened their Mexican restaurant. Ask for Fernando Luna, and tell 'em Jaime Garzaro sent you. Their tamales are quite authentic and delicious. almost 8 years ago

Tacos El Guero off of Bryan Street. Super tiny, hole in the wall joint in a sketchy looking area, but they serve good tacos (better than Fuel City IMO) & old school bottled sodas. almost 8 years ago
