Try flying into SLC, check out Provo RIver, get some great early AM fog lifting with landscape. I'm flying there Sunday to Flyfish Provo and driving 5+/- hours to Yellowstone and will be modeling and photographing while there. GL! You can also check out Modelmayhem.com for other photographers in that area that may have other suggestions as well! almost 7 years ago

Moab, UT a must!! I just did the exact same thing your about to do and it is great. Lots and lots of scenic driving. But well worth it. Get "Delicate Arch" at Arches National Park. It's a hike up a very large hill but you will not be disappointed.
Drive up to "Dead Horse Point". It's like the Grand Canyon of Utah!! Beautiful scenery there!! It is said to be one of the most photographed scenic vistas in the world. There is a small fee before getting to the cliffs. almost 7 years ago

All of Utah is amazing especially the photographic standards like Moab. One of my favorite places that's a bit off the beaten path is Goblin Valley state park. Check out images of it online to get a feel for the other worldly landscape. The campground there is beautiful as well almost 7 years ago
