Hi there. There is a similar question and answers for Denver, so do a search on Denver to see what others are saying. Here's what I suggested:

State Capital, LoDo area for shopping/eating, baseball game!, the US Mint, Denver Art Museum, the Highlands neighborhood has nice shops and restaurants ( it's a trendy hood). Cherry Creek for shopping and the Tattered Cover bookstore!

    If renting a car:

Golden can be a good few hours: Coors brewery, Buffalo Bill Cody museum & grave, school of mines, cute downtown,

Argo goldmine towards Evergreen, georgetown, and Morrison are cute western towns surrounded by hills and streams. And then there's Boulder, which is lovely. 1 day ago over 9 years ago

The zoo is very nice as is the Natural Science Museum which is located in the same area. There are also many small museums in that area. The Hammond Candy Factory offers free tours; they make the famous Christmas ribbon candy. over 9 years ago

Rent a car and head 45 minutes or so up out of town to rocky mountain national park. So beautiful! If it's your first time there I suggest starting out in the Bear Lake area. The hike to dream lake is great for a picnic over 9 years ago
