How old is the "kid"? Pacific Grove at twilight would be awesome (back nine is the same course designer as Pebble Beach). almost 7 years ago

Thanks! We ended up at Peter Hay, a 9 hole par 3 course at Pebble Beach. Free for kids under 12, and $10 for under 17. Unlimited play all day. Ocean views, and well maintained. My 9 year old loved it, and my teen sharpened her short game. almost 7 years ago

When I was a kid, my grandfather inspired my imagination by having me design my own par 3 course using parts of my neighborhood. My back yard to the middle of my front yard was Hole no. 1. The patch of grass next to the mailbox to ole man Ferdy's horseshoe pit was Hole no.2, etc.,etc. You get the drift. I know this isn't precisely what you were looking for, but keep the idea in your back pocket until it comes in handy. It was one of my best childhood memories and undoubtedly nurtured the imagination that pointed me to my eventual career as an architect. almost 7 years ago
