My wife and I had our honeymoon on that island and Maui. We took the Star of Honolulu dinner cruise. I'm not sure you and your friend's gender, however, but the cruise was really nice and great views, meal, drinks and some dancing. It was more than half male/female couples but did have a good amount of groups of 2 to 3 girlfriends...again, not sure if either of those fit you. I know the same company has other tours that are less couple based.

As for other islands, Maui is gorgeous and has a large variety of everything. Not the cheapest choice though. Hope any of this helps! over 9 years ago

I saw that there is a one day tour from Oahu to the Big Island to see volcanoes. Has anyone gone with such a tour. I want to know how much walking is required? My friend cannot walk too long, so we want to know if we should consider this tour or not. over 9 years ago

Helicopter would be both the best way to see the volcanos, and would involve no walking. You might also check to see what local concerts are going on if you like Hawaiian music. over 9 years ago

Maui & the Big Island are both worth seeing & are very different.

    Tours on Oahu.

    Tour of Honolulu.
    Tour to nearby Botanical Gardens.
    Tour to North Shore.
