Snow Canyon State Park is nice to hike around and it is just north of St George. Also if you are in to history, go a little further north to the Mountain Meadows massacre site. The Mormons tried to hide this piece of history for years but now there is a monument overlooking the valley where the massacre occurred and you can read about what happened. Interesting, sad but a good look in to human nature and the way ours minds work. over 7 years ago

Hit the trails in any direction for hiking, trail running, mountain biking or just scenery watching! Or you can hit one of the three nearby lakes for skiing. The Bluff, Snow Canyon, Zions, Sand Hollow State Park, Quail Creek, Tuacahn, or just hang out downtown for some relaxation and shopping at the outlets. over 7 years ago
