Washington, La is a very historical place where and important time in the Civil War took place. They even have yearly reenactments. Not sure of the dates but check it out. Also Acadiana Village in Lafayette, La is tourist attraction that showcases an earlier time. I'm sure you can fine both on google.com over 8 years ago

I agree in definitely seeing Lafayette but also make sure to do New Orleans and don't feel too touristy to do a boat tour or carriage ride, they're both worth it. Also try and look for historic hotels like the Napoleon House. Are you looking for a specific category in history ie music, food, art because then I can lead ya in the right direction at least through LA? about 7 years ago

Also! Denham Springs is super redneck and there is this awesome tikki tubing place you should definitely hit up. You spend the whole say relaxing down a river drinking, of course, which is the LA way. Try Shreveport too. about 7 years ago
