How can I travel from Phoenix, AZ to Valencia, CA for cheap?

I want to attend a speaking event in Valencia, California, and I live in Phoenix, AZ. I want to leave Phoenix the night before, and leave Valencia the next night (so 1 day in CA).
I know there is Greyhound, but then I need to get an additional 18 minutes away from the stop in San Fernando. Is there a cheaper alternative to a taxi? Thank you!
