Hi Terry, most likely I will visit the country in June for probably 10 days or so.I am fine with any part of the country since I've not booked any tickets yet but I've heard many recommendations on the Eastern part of US---NY,Washington,etc. (of course), still I am willing to expose myself to other cities that are cultured and simply American as well. Thanks! almost 5 years ago

You could do an East Coast itinerary: Boston, New York, Philly, Washington and hit a couple of more rural areas in upstate New York, Pennsylvania or West Virginia. The East is full of history, iconic landmarks, museums and culture and larger cities.
I would also suggest you consider a West Coast tour: Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles and a day trip or two. You would find the West is more relaxed and offers lots of outdoor recreation and scenery. Of course, the West Coast is a wider spread of territory with L.A. being the biggest city.
I like to travel by train (Amtrak) and you could easily do these trips that way. I would recommend that you fly into a city at one end and fly back out at the other end. If you use the same airlines, they can make it a roundtrip fare. That way you'll see the most without doubling back. almost 5 years ago
