My family an I will be in Kauai the first week of May. Looking for some different options for a guys golf day. Less expensive the better. Any suggestions?
Generally speaking, public or municipal course will be much cheaper than semi-private or resort venues. Here's a somewhat old newspaper article that lists all golf courses in Hawaii. Some info, including prices, is outdated, but it gives you a rough idea to help you decide where to play. I know this because I live here & use this list after I started playing golf about a year ago. http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/current/sp/golfguide over 5 years agoAnswered by KK via WorldNomads.com
The Kauai Lagoons Waikahe is a nine hole course After 12 noon, the Waikahe nine is paired with the Mauka nine to create an 18-hole course. It is Jack Nicholas inspired.
I think an even better value is Puakea, designed by golf course Architect Robin Nelson, here you get that ocean view.
All in all you cannot go wrong golfing on Kauai, there are 10 golf courses at seven venues on Kauai. Princeville on the North Shore offers two challenging options with an 18-hole and a 27-hole course. PGA legend Jack Nicklaus and Robert Trent Jones, Jr. both helped design courses on Kauai. over 4 years ago
