The Greenville area is by far one of my favorite places in SC. I went to university in the upstate, and I always miss being there. Places like Table Rock, and Downtown Greenville are so great.

But if you're looking for beaches, I'd say Edisto. It's a great little town. over 6 years ago

I had the most beautiful day trip to Savannah, Georgia when staying on Hilton Head, SC. It is a very walkable city with the most absolutely charming historical architecture. The cafes and shopping at small boutiques (some of them owned by graduates of the art school in town) are wonderful. I have heard that you are better off skipping Paula Dean's famous restaurant. I had a lovely lunch in a small french cafe, and enjoyed one of the historic trolley tours.

We also liked visiting Beaufort, SC, another, smaller place full of history. over 6 years ago
