Alcatraz was definitely the high point (book months in advance)--we also went whale watching, which was a lot of fun even though we didn't see any whales! Golden Gate Bridge(of course!) Toured Chinatown, Golden Gate Park, AT&T Park(beautiful stadium), Coit Tower, Cable Cars, Pier 39(too touristy), Lombard St. Haight-Ashbury...well I could go on...just the natural beauty was so overwhelming, I can't wait to return! And it's true, you DO leave your heart in San Francisco! An amazing place. about 6 years ago

We never regretted anything we did...safety was never an issue(I had some reservations)--just try to do as much as you can in the time that you have...we booked a walking tour called The Real SF Tour...tremendous tour of the city...also San Francisco Comprehensive Shuttle Tours are great as well... about 6 years ago
