I'd like cross the all US but I'm not sure if it's better idea doing by walking, bike or greyhound. What are your suggestions? I guess if I decided by walking or bike my daily budget will be around $20. What do you think? My plan is do camping or couchsurfing and airbnd.
It depends where you go in America, but greyhound would be a good place to start. America is split up into different areas when it comes to transportation, so my advice is bring some extra cash and be willing to meet various characters along the way. For an adventure, I'd walk, but a reasonable way would be the greyhound (plus, you don't have to carry and worry about a bike). Good luck and safe travels! about 6 years ago
Which is better way to cross the US by walking or bicycle?Make sure you're ready for any weather from blazing heat to snow. Be able to do basic repairs on your bike. Carry tires, tubes, basic tools. You might be in the middle of nowhere when you have a flat or other mechanical. From the sounds of it 3-4 casual rides a month isn't enough conditioning for a cross-country trip, you might need to step up your training quite a bit.
