    Get tickets for a hop on hop off bus to get the lay of the land. Do the top of the Rockefeller at night, go to a broadway show and be amazed, bike central park.
    Walk or take cabs, if you use the underground you'll miss too much!! over 5 years ago

    Staten Island ferry. Metropolitan Art Museum. metropolitan Opera, one of the best in the world, has inexpensive seats on the top level, with some of the best acoustics in the house. over 5 years ago

    Shopping.

    I dont know how long you have (and I'm not normally a shopper) - but I love shopping in NY.

    AND - all of the above. MOMA, Met, Staten Island ferry, see a show on Broadway, walk around central park (barefoot!), subway travel, people observing from pubs and cafes, cocktails at the Standard, late night underground jazz sessions ..... the list goes on! over 5 years ago
