    It's had an artist colony for the last 100 years or more, so there are good museums.
    I highly recommend driving from Santa Fe by the high road (routes 76 and 518). It's very scenic and very untouched by the growth of the state. over 6 years ago

    state. Another highly recommended drive is from Albuquerque to Santa Fe via the Turquoise Trail, which goes through Chimayo and several ghost towns, now artists' colonies themselves. over 6 years ago

    Do the loop Taos, Angel Fire, Eagle Nest (ask about the Mutz Bar),Cimarron Canyon, Red River, Questa, and back to Taos. Great way to spend a day. over 6 years ago
