I would try out Gatorland on Orange Blossom Trail, or WonderWorks right on I-Drive. Both are very different and will appeal to children of all ages. If you'd like a water park without the Disney prices, there is Aquatica, SeaWorlds new park. It has a water slide that goes THROUGH an aquarium- quite a site!

This website has a lot of discounts and recommendations for things to do in Orlando. There is definitely one for Gatorland, and for WonderWorks.

How old are the kids? If they are young there is a great petting zoo in kissimie if they are older wonder works is great. Also most hotels and resorts have discount tickets that they will sell you regardless if you are staying there. Also wonder works has a great kids area. Food wise mateos is very nice and great value. Looks super fancy but we eat there in shorts all the time. about 6 years ago

I really enjoyed Gatorland. They have several shows during the day. We also took a night walk, which will be really fun for kids--you get to hold a baby alligator and then see the entire park in the evening, when everyone is gone, and eyes of alligators begin to shine. Birds at that park are breathtaking (http://transplantedtatar.wordpress.com/2012/09/28/gatorland-in-the-realm-of-birds-and-crocodilians/). I think Sea World is also a fun, less expensive place. And I'd do the Kennedy Space Center (http://www.kennedyspacecenter.com/)--both fun and inspiring for kids and adults. over 5 years ago
