Camp, it's cheap and you're going there to experience nature and this can not be done in a hotel. Try reserving now because sites fill up fast in peak season. Most sites you can drive up to, they are a short walk from the canyon or you can hop on the bus. We camped in April and woke up to snow and 4 or 5 elk walking by our tent. Grand canyon is beautiful and the sunrise against the rock faces will take your breath away, it's worth taking the short hike down kaibab trail to a bend the has a nice view of the inside of the canyon. Hike is less than a mile but is well worth it, just staying up top doesn't do it justice, you have to get inside. over 8 years ago

Camping is out of the question in mid-June. Over 100 degrees F during the day and about 90 at night. Go to Hotels.com and find a deal on the South Rim. Everything books up a couple months in advance, so good luck! over 8 years ago
