I had the chili and a burger from Grub Steak when I was there - really casual atmosphere but completely delicious http://sfgrubstake.com/ over 8 years ago

Really depends upon your preferences. I love Slanted Door (on the waterfront in the Ferry Bldg). Get reservations. I also love A16. The sommelier will put together wine pairings for each of the courses you select. You can get half-pours so not too much alcohol. Other good ones (honestly, there are SO many good restaurants) are Zuni Cafe, Town Hall, Le Colonial, Three Seasons, etc etc. What do you like? over 8 years ago

Thanks for the suggestions guys, we're staying near Buena Vista Park, and are looking for something for a couple of nights from casual and relaxed with a lively atmosphere to something a bit more special.
Looking forward to it! over 8 years agoAnswered by Scouser viaAsk a Nomad iPad app

Aziza is amazing Moroccan with a French twist. In the mission check out pizzeria delfina for good thin crust pizza, bi-rite and humphry slocumbe for ice cream, and knead patisserie for their pomme d'amour. You should try Burmese food while in SF at Burma superstar or Mandalay. Cliff house at ocean beach is a nice spot for an afternoon drink. For breakfast try mama's and Brenda's French soul food, and if you will be there on a Sunday make reservations for breakfast at canteen. Have fun! over 8 years ago
