Going to Austin the last week of April, was wondering what attractions, places there are to see while I'm there.

    Check out the multitude of live music venues on 6th street. Great and varied music styles played every night of the week. about 6 years ago

    Check out Barton springs when it is warm. It is just south of downtown. You can also go kayaking or paddle boarding in Lady bird lake, just south of Austin. There is a great trails that runs around that lake. There is a bridge over lady bird lake that is known for its bat colony that you can watch feed after dark.

    Check out red river street that is perpendicular to 6th for some divier bars with rocking music. South congress street is awesome. It has some shops including, antiques, costumes, odd finds, and an old candy store and some other shops for clothing etc. about 6 years ago

    Take the horse carriage scenic tour at night off 6th street, it is so beautiful, especially around Xmas time, they take you around the city even past Sandra bullocks house. about 6 years ago
