Hi Ser1... I don't really understand your question. So you'll be traveling the entire distance of the US west coast? Sounds awesome! There's a lot to see and do and a lot of beautiful scenery... Both along the coast as well as inland. Portland is great, San Francisco is great, Santa Cruz and Monterey are great, you have to see Yosemite of course, Los Angeles has some things to see, but also sucks... San Diego is nice. Is there anything you feel you must see? about 6 years ago

If you a driving take interstate 5 and that will take you to the coast. Best way to see California. Places to stop San Francisco defiantly, Lot Altos or Stanford is always good, Carmel rout 17 and Mission. Pebble Beach for golf, Monterey's aquarium is the biggest in the US. Santa Cruz to watch the surfers, and that is all from what I know. I'm from northern Cali. Yosemite is amazing but it may be too out of your way but if you have time defiantly make it a priority to make it there. Have fun and enjoy your trip. about 6 years ago

Yeah, but I5 is ...Soooo boring... Here's what I'd do... I'd take I5 from Seattle to Sacramento... Then cut over west to San Francisco... And take the highway 1 (Pacific Coast Highway) all the way down the coast. I5 is good for moving quickly, but not for a vacation. 2 inner state things I recommend though are Lake Tahoe and Yosemite. If those are too out of the way (and that would be ashame) the you must do the big sur coastline. Absolutely breathtaking. about 6 years ago

Do You need someone to share the ride (and expenses)?
I'm from Brazil and I'll be at Oregon doing a snowboard summer camp in June for 8 days. After that I plan to go to CA to get my flight back. But till then I have > 10 days to run around. If you're traveling in June and feel like having someone with you just say so and we can talk this over.

    Tks,

How much time do you have to do the drive? I have lived on and traveled the west coast of decades and and could easily fill three months going from Seattle to San Diego. I however spend a lot of time camping, surfing and fishing. If these are of interest I could help, it really depends on what your priorities are. You could also visit several af our best national parks such as crater lake and Yosemite if that is of interest. Happy travels and get away from the interstates. about 6 years ago
