I read on the web that the main road who circle the lake can be closed due to persistent snow on the path. Has someone of you any past experience in this National Park same period of the year?
Any info much appreciated

In May, you can typically expect the south and west entrances (Hwy 62) to be open as well as the road from Hwy 62 up to Rim Village (for a lake view). Normally there is 10 feet of snow still on the ground, so don't expect any hiking trails. Depending on when in May you visit, part of the West Rim Drive may be open for the first mile to Discovery Point. The Crater Lake Lodge opens in late May. over 6 years ago
