We ( adult couple from Norway) are spending three weeks in or around Minnesota next June/July. We will travel around the state, or neighbour states. How should we plan, so that we gwt to know more of this state and its people?

June/July is a great time of year here. Of course lots of state parks to see. The most spectacular is probably going up to the North Shore of Lake Superior -one of the Great Lakes" There is good camping or lodges to stay in. If you are more city oriented St paul/ Minneapolis has a wealth of great museums , concert venues, great restaurants/bars. People are fairly friendly and willing to help you find your way around. Car is needed. Hope that helps- I have Swedish origins and have always meant to go there to check out relations / sites.. almost 9 years ago

Bike.. it is rated the top city in the US for biking. In the twin cities, the Grand Round covers all the lakes, the river and so much more.
Lake Superior, North Shore. get a cabin like Solbakkan, on the lake and have bonfires right on the rocks by the water.
Grand Marais is a great spot to gear up for a trip to the Boundary Waters, which is amazing.
Lake Minnetonka in town for boating, dining, people watching.
Mall of America.. If you like huge malls with amazing stores.
Saint Paul Farmer's Market... Only local grown, raised foods.
