Manhattan is a 24/7 city with a lot of fantastic places to eat.
I found a few organic cafes in Soho that were great. In most places the food was delicious, prices affordable and mostly customer service was OK.
Also, the meat packing district has some great little restaurants that serve fresh salads, fish etc without that melted cheesy cream stuff that seems to be n everything in the States.
If you want a nice sunset place - The Standard for pre dinner drinks is stunning. about 8 years ago
For brunch I like Bubbys in TriBeCa - organic. Ma Pesce (sp?) is a fab fish restaurants, so plenty of delicious healthy options. Artisanal on East 32 is a French spot with a leaning towards the great cheeses of France, BUT, they also have a terrific Bistro menu that would include lighter healthy options, including fish. Eataly rooftop restaurant also has a varied menu with grilled veggies and salads. about 8 years ago
