    Whatever time you are able to visit. Fall is nice and often drier with less fog. Fog in summer is cold but can be spectacular to see. Days are long. Spring and winter could be occasionally rainy but hills are green and everthing in bloom. Anytime is tolerable. It's California, not Siberia. almost 7 years ago

    Perfect answer - I agree. Caution - ESP in the summer the temperature can drop 15 or 20 degrees F. in an hour with wind when the fog rolls in at 3 pm every day. Summers can be cold here due to fog - SF is on a peninsula and it can be like being on a ship. Always carry a sweater or you too will be buying overpriced SF branded fleeces for the whole family! almost 7 years ago
