Would it be too cold to visit London in Dec?

    It will be cold - it's winter. Temperatures would be around 5-10 degrees during the day, maximum and probably lower than that; definitely at night time and maybe into below zero.

    Last year, the weather was awful in the UK in December and January and you have to bear in mind, that when it snows or gets extremely icy, then public transport may stop running.

    I personally like London in December as the christmas lights are on, you can hop from pub to pub to keep warm, there are more festive things happening etc, but this is if you brave the cold. Wrap up really well and prepare yourself. about 7 years ago

    Hi! I went to London during November... The cold weather was terrible and one day we preferred to stay at the hotel... I really didn't like the city because of the weather... If you get to go, be prepared and do not get defeated by the temperature! about 7 years ago

    Hi, I used to live in London and yes it will be very cold in December and most probably snowing! But I would say that's a lovely time to go as long as you wrap up. There will be lots of places you can warm up with a hot cup of coffee or coco :) hope this helps. about 7 years ago
