lastminute.com can have some good bargains, but you'll definitely be sitting up with the gods.

An alternative if you're being really last minute and don't have your iphone with you - and possibly don't mind what you're going to go see! - is to visit some of the box office places near leicester square - a little alcove with some guy happily selling you tickets for that night - whatever he has left. almost 12 years ago

I’ve used the tkts box in Leicester Square (freestanding on south side of the green/garden) a couple of times. They claim to offer the best last minute seats for up to half price. It definitely is possible to get some decent seats from these guys particularly if you go for a mid week performance. They won’t have tickets for all shows however – if you want to see something specifically when you are here definitely reserve in advance. Best to get there a bit before 10am opening time and you can check available shows for the day on the website:

If you want to buy something online rather than trekking to Leicester Square, you can get some really good discounts on http://www.theatreticketscheap.com for lots of different shows. You can choose where you want to sit and don't have to worry about the tickets selling out! over 9 years ago
