You should check out the Glenlivet Distillery. I did a tour with them back in September and it was very informative. Plus you get a taster at the end!

If you get across to Islay, then definitely do the tour of Laphroaig. One of the best days I have had in ages - its cheap to get in, the tour is fantastic, the people were great, and loads of free nips at the end. You also can become a Friend of Laphroaig and own a piece of land there. about 8 years ago
