I am wanting to do some weekend trips from London, and someone suggested megabus as an economical option, but I was wondering if it was reliable, comfortable, convenient and cheap? Or are there other, better options.

Hit and miss really. They are reliable and economical though. Travelled with them twice. First trip we were handled like cattle with a grumpy driver, second time was a lot better. A jolly driver which made the trip a LOT more pleasurable.

Definitely a reliable and economical option so best to give them a try. Good luck! almost 10 years ago

I used to travel from London to Bournemouth on a megabus for £2 - that's less than 2 pence per mile! So for value, it was unbeatable. The bus had a WC onboard but was literally a bus - not a coach. So it wasn't the most comfortable experience ever but who would complain for £2? Not sure what the prices are these days though, about 9 years ago
