I'm going to the UK in August. Will be there for 3 weeks. Which are good companies to hire cars from without breaking the bank? Would also love some suggestions of things I could see and do in 2 weeks of driving (thinking London will need 5-7 days of the 3 week trip).
Thanks :)

I just returned from Ireland and found Europcar to have the best rental rates. Their cars were excellently maintained and their service was top drawer. over 2 years ago

Hi, as a Brit I will say first DON'T DRIVE IN LONDON!! London has excellent public transport so you won't need it, plus the roads are clogged.
Great places to road trip - head up north via the lake District (excellent driving, beautiful scenery), have a peek at Hadrian's Wall and Newcastle, then pop on up to Edinburgh, Glasgow, the Highlands and Islands. We headed up to Edinburgh then Mull in 10 days last year, which was brilliant.
Good luck with your trip!! over 2 years ago

    • Thanks Caitlin. I appreciated your feedback. Certainly won't be hiring a car to drive around in London. Spending 5 days in London, then getting a car to see the rest :) Allicia Rae over 2 years ago
