Best places to travel around Liverpool,UK??

Being a football fan, I intend to travel to UK soon to watch Liverpool FC, the team I support, in action. To save up on the expenses, I have also given a shot to free air tickets on Global Call Facebook page.

What I need to know is which are the best places to visit in Liverpool as I might stay there for a few days to enjoy some scouse flavor!
