Hi, the best way to get from Heathrow to Central London is to get the tube.
When you find the tube station, catch the Piiccadilly line.. I'm pretty sure there are stations in between each terminal at the airport. I'm not sure on prices, but it won't cost you more than £10 (I'm sure it's less).
The journey takes about 50 minutes and runs from 5am - 11:40pm
DO NOT TAKE A TAXI! For the time it takes to get to London from the airport, the taxi would have clocked up to about £45.
Hope this helps :) about 9 years ago
Tube is certainly one way depending on where you want to end up. The underground is easy but the Picadily line can get busy as not only does it serve Heathrow, but its also a popular commute into town for London workers and tourists alike. If you have a lot of luggage, you might want to try and avoid the peak times.
Taxis are plentiful but not cheap and can rack up in money terms but it would depend on how many of you there are and what time you are travelling. If there are a couple of you, then for hardly any hassle, you might want to consider this option.
An alternative would be a London Transport bus but this would involve various changes to get into central London and would take you forever! For a more direct routing and therefore much faster, you could use the National Express bus.
For trains, you could either take the Heathrow Connect which takes about an hour to Paddington or the Heathrow Express which is slightly faster but also double the price of the Heathrow Connect.
