I'd like to travel to the Scotland and participate on Cape Wrath Trail - 370km from Fort William to Cape Wrath. approx.3 weeks, just trekking, no vehicles. My question is- what time is the best one to visit this part of Scotland? Considering collisions, humidity, temperature, sun, midges.
I would like to travel in April/May, or May/June.

What do you think and what can you reccommend?

Thanks a lot!

May is usually the best month as the midges haven't usually got going properly. You will get varied weather but if you've got the gear it's oftern also a very beautiful month.

June is often wetter and in April it can still be pretty cold and windy. about 8 years ago
